Children Film Festival begins in Patna


Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said there was immense talent in children and the state could regain its past glory if a congenial atmosphere was created for utilisation of their potentials.

After inaugurating four days' children's film festival organised here for the first time, Mr Kumar said the state could regain its past glory if congenial atmosphere was provided to them to tap their potentials as they had immense talents.

''Children would get benefits from exhibition of such films during the festival and it would help them in improving their personality,'' the chief minister said and appreciated the talents of children who presented cultural programme on the occasion.

A revolving fund of Rs 5 lakh would be created for promoting their talent and it would be made available from Chief Minister's relief fund, he informed.

Speaking on the occasion, deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said children film festival should be organised every year and film based on issues relating to children should be screened during such festival.
